A Heartfelt Plea for Support

Dear friends and family,

Today, I come to you with a heavy heart, seeking your love, compassion, and support for my fight against my most powerful enemy.. Those of you who know me, have known me as a decorative painter and a painting contractor. I am a proud mother of a wonderful 15 year old boy, Lucas. I have, recently, been diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis).

I have always been a lover of the outdoors. I love painting, gardening, and cooking, amongst many other fun things life has afforded me.

ALS has robbed me of most of my simple pleasures, but I am confident that there is a way to fight and reverse my diagnosis. My spirit remains high. I have good CHI, as one of my practitioners pointed out to me (and I loved it).

In this difficult moment, I humbly request your support, both emotional and financial, to help me alleviate some of the burdens that I am about to face. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference. Your generosity will enable me to access the necessary medical care and therapies not covered by our insurance. Resources that can enhance the quality of my life in the near future and provide comfort during this arduous journey.

My longtime partner, Deni Godoi, will accompany me to treatment in Florida, an intense three week treatment to help me fight this disease. That will pull him away from Lucas (our son) and his work, as well.
