Help Auntie Dot & Pat recovery from Hurricane Ian
Donation protected
As I am sure you have all heard, Auntie Dot and Pat's home in Florida took a direct hit from Hurricane Ian on September 28, 2022.
They (and the dogs) evacuated to a local friend's home on Wednesday, just before the hurricane made landfall. Leaving all their possessions and memories behind. When they returned to their home on Friday, they found that it had flooded with about 6-8 inches of water during the storm. And when the water receded, it left behind about at least three inches of mud inside the home. Their driveway has about six inches of mud on it currently. At this point their home is uninhabitable. Anything that was below knee level is destroyed. Even the totes they had stored possessions in were damaged due to the water causing them to float around and tip over. They are currently staying in a rental home within the same campground.
As I am sure you can image it is going to be a very long road for these two amazing ladies. When I spoke to Pat today, she was shoveling mud out of the driveway.
For those of you that have been asking, I thought I would setup this GoFundMe to help defray the expenses that will not be covered by their insurance. And also help them get back on their feet while waiting for the insurance companies’ response.
