Aurelia Gail’s Hope
Donation protected
This is Aurelia Gail Patricia Day. On Wednesday, March 5, 2025, her life changed forever. She was in a drowning accident in the lake by her house. It’s unknown how long she was in the water before she was found. Her skin was blue and body was cold. A woman across the lake ran to help give CPR until the ambulance arrived. She did not regain a pulse/heartbeat until she reached northeast Georgia medical center in Gainesville. So, from the time she came out of the water to when she regained a pulse/heartbeat at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, her brain went without oxygen for roughly 45 minutes to an hour. They then life flighted to Childrens Hospital of Atlanta, where they began the fight to keep her alive. Since then, they’ve kept her sedated, on a ventilator, and been giving her antibiotics, diuretics to help her kidneys functioning, and reduce the severe swelling her body has. She has coded in the CT machine, but been stabilized. They took her for an MRI on Saturday, March 8th. From that, they found she has 70-80% brain damage, effecting all of her motor skills. It showed partial vision impairment. Deficits will likely include her not being able to know how to walk, talk, move her limbs at all, swallow, or even breathe on her own. They are also unsure on when/if she will be able to wake up, and when/if she can come off of the ventilator.
This princess needs all the love and support she can possibly can right now, because it will be an enormous up hill battle for her, but she’s a fighter. Shes only 16 months old. Her parents have been here by her bedside everyday since this occurred. They still have 3 other children at home that are also being looked after. Any donations would be appreciated and would go towards food while they stay here with her in the hospital with Aurelia, bills back home while they’re out of work to be here with her, and help care for their other children as well. Any and all donations are welcome and appreciated, and if you can’t donate, please, pray this sweet child gets better.
