Aurelio Ramos' funeral expenses and hardships
Aurelio Ramos was the epitome of a family man. No matter what the reason, he would drop what he was doing at a moment’s notice to support his family. It didn’t matter if it was money, food, or the shirt off his back, he showed up for his family again and again. On Father’s Day, Aurelio was rushed to the ER due to passing out and having an irregular heartbeat which prompted the doctors to run scans and tests on him. Days later, Aurelio was diagnosed with late stage cancer, and without hesitation chose to fight it with everything he had. Aurelio was in high spirits and filled with confidence in his short fight with cancer. On July 25th, 2020, Aurelio lost his short-lived fight with cancer. Even while facing death, he tried to assure his family that things will be alright. The man who gave all he could to his family kept very little for himself, and now we need help to give him the peace he deserves after death.
A brief history of who Aurelio Ramos was in life. He was big on sports, especially when it came to the Cubs. With the frequent trips to Wrigley Field, it’s no surprise that his children grew to have the same love of baseball as he did. Aurelio was hard working and loved his children. He always made sure they were on the right path and never strayed from it. He involved his kids in sports and practiced with them on off days to improve their skills. He raised three boys, Noah, Hector, and Isiah Ramos. Noah and Hector both joined the U.S. Marines shortly after September 11th where they served in Iraq. Unfortunately, Hector lost his life in Iraq in 2005 and it hit us all hard. Aurelio was devastated, no one should ever have to bury their child. Isiah, the youngest brother, is currently studying bioengineering at the University of Illinois and hopes to do research creating new types of medicine. Aurelio always carried his children in his heart, and always talked about how pride he was of his boys. Much later he would re-marry and father a little girl named Delilah, along with his stepchildren David and Karla. Just a few weeks after turning 7, Delilah lost her father after the angels guided his soul to heaven.
As devastated as we are, we must address the new challenges Aurelio’s passing has brought. With Aurelio being the primary provider for his wife and daughter, they now face financial uncertainties in an already difficult time of loss. After reviewing finances, we are trying to reach a baseline goal of $25,000 in order to resolve any financial obligations left behind. Aurelio would have wanted to make sure his wife and children are not struggling during these difficult times.
