The Australian Bat Clinic
Donation protected
Hi! I'm Jackie Sparrow - an Australian Little Red Flying Fox! You might already know of me - my Foster Dad is Johnny Depp who was working near where I live when I was born prematurely in May 2015.
Although I am getting older, I still need special care and still also have some growing to do before I go out to join all of my friends in the wild to help pollinate trees and plants in Australia.
I live at The Australian Bat Clinic & Wildlife Trauma Centre and get looked after by my Bat-Mum Trish Wimberley who has dedicated her life to rescuing, rehabiliating and looking after injured wildlife in Australia, particularly flying foxes and microbats! But when anyone visits, it's always a surprise to find what sick or injured native animals you will meet.
Bat-Mum Trish has some nice people who come and volunteer to help out but they do not receive any funding to help out with the running of the clinic so they can help me and all of my friends.
My Bat Clinic home has been in the Gold Coast Hinterland for almost 20 years and we really need your help so Mum-Trish and her friends can keep helping all the wildlife.
As well as the usual supplies we need to keep running - fruit, baby formula, worms/insects, safe cleaning & washing products, medications, medical supplies we also have some mechanical repairs needed for our Bat Van and repairs to the clinic.
It would mean so much to me and my friends and family to be able to raise some much needed money which would help Mum-Trish and her friends.
If you can please help us reach our goal which we will use to put towards the repairs, food and medication for the bats and other animals that need our clinic to keep running.
