He cared for the future of his community. Please consider helping us care for the future of his wife and unborn child.
This fundraiser has been approved by the Aldridge/Link family and the SCSO. Every donation will be deposited directly to them.
Austin Derek Aldridge was a loving husband, son, friend and partner to many. Austin enjoyed spending time with friends and family playing tabletop board games and watching The Lord of the Rings movies. Austin’s friends say he had the disposition of a golden retriever: playful, funny, unwaveringly loyal, and downright goofy at times. His fun loving attitude and humor will be sorely missed by all who were close to him.
Austin loved his job and couldn’t imagine doing anything other than serving the community that he loved. Austin’s colleagues with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office say he was “genuine” and a “true friend.” Austin served with them for 3 years before being tragically killed in the line of duty on June 21, 2022. Being an organ and tissue donor, Austin’s final act of self-less generosity will continue to contribute to the well-being of many.
Austin is survived by his wife, Jessica, whom he married in 2019. Austin and Jessica recently celebrated a positive pregnancy test on Sunday, June 19, and both expressed nervous excitement about becoming first-time parents.
If you are able, please consider giving to help cover unexpected costs related to the sudden loss of this great man and to help us care for the future of his wife and unborn child.
If you are unable to contribute monetarily, we ask that you please consider keeping the Aldridge and Link families in your prayers.
