Austin Bingham on his road to Para Equestrian

Hi, my name is Austin Bingham. In the fall of 2021, I suffered an Ischemic Stroke while at my CrossFit class. This caused Homonymous Hemianopia (complete vision loss in the right visual field in both eyes) as well as short term memory impairment. I have always been a very athletic and competitive person, but the vision loss and cognitive deficits have made all athletics challenging except for one, Equestrian. I have been riding dressage for the last ten yrs. I have only competed locally but would love to change that! I recently acquired a new horse. She is an older warmblood mare that has competed at the highest levels in dressage.

I would really love to receive my para grade be able to compete her in Para Dressage at an International level. This has a lot of training and traveling expenses as well as the cost of entry fees and care of the horse.

I am unable to work as reading and cognitive focus has been very challenging. The one place that I have been able to focus is on a horse. Please help me make my dream into a reality.
