AUSTIN BUTCHER CANCER DIAGNOSIS

Austin & Hannah Butcher are a hardworking newlywed couple. The 28 year old pair are both familar, smiling faces that we all see in our Mt Airy Walmart, where they are employed. This precious couple are expecting their first child, a daughter, on August 7th! Over the past three months, Austin has become progressively more ill with what he thought was Shingles, and finally took time off to be medically evaluated. After having bloodwork drawn, he was sent to Novant in Winston Salem (Forsyth Medical Center) and admitted emergently, as his labwork showed him to have a form of leukemia. Austin began oral chemotherapy and was prepared to begin Leukapheresis, as his white blood cell count was reaching potentially fatal levels.

Austin was scared and in pain. His wife and unborn daughter have remained by his side, as more specific testing is ongoing, to determine a specific treatment regimen.

Austin and Hannah and their unborn daughter need our communities help!! As of right now, the diagnosis of CML is tentative. There's no way to determine yet how Long this little family will be out of work and hospitalized. Their precious daughter is due in about three weeks.
