Austin Gary Boyd Memorial Fund

Austin left us prematurely on 9/11/2021. Everyone whom knew Austin knows what an outstanding young man he had become. He was 1/2 way through his CPA exams and 48 hours away from starting his professional career as an accountant at Grant/Thornton. He stayed focused, worked hard and was at the cusp of launching into a brilliant future.

Austin’s Memorial Fund will be used to sponsor public benches at 1 (or more) of his favorite locations. The first option being the basketball court at Edwards Elementary. Austin and all his friends spent many hours over the past 10 years perfecting their skills, or not, here.

The 2nd option will be a bench at the University of Oregon. Austin was a devoted Duck and proud graduate of the Charles H. Lundquist College of Business.

These bench sponsorships, each costing $5,000 every 10 years, will serve as a long standing memorial to Austin. Providing an opportunity for rest and comfort to others at two of his favorite places.

If Austin’s Memorial Fund blossoms like he did, other larger opportunities will open up. Endowment Scholarships to Portland Community College and/or the University of Oregon are under consideration.
