Austin Hilbrands Recovery

Austin is a 16 year old boy who is a junior at Roosevelt High School. He plays golf and baseball. He loves to fish, both in the summer and winter. He is such a hardworking, kind, young boy who has a lot of love for his friends and family. Saturday 10/28, he was driving on a two lane highway with his best friend when they suffered a head on collision with a pickup truck. Austin had an open fracture to his skull and a couple fractured cervical vertebrae. He has some facial fractures along with brain swelling. Doctors rushed him into emergency surgery where they removed a portion of his skull. He is currently sedated and on a ventilator to give his body time to heal. Austin is a strong boy. He never gives up. We know he will be able to push through this tragic time. We appreciate all of the continued prayers and love towards our family. We really need it during this time. Although donations are not needed, we greatly appreciate any made towards our family. This money will help with various expenses while Kim and Derrick are out of work. Thank you.
