Austin & Linzi Wenzel with baby Henry's Surgery

My name is Cassie Wenzel and a couple of months ago, my nephew and his wife received some surprising news about their baby boy. Here is their story:

Austin and I found out our sweet baby boy, Henry, has a congenital heart defect❤️‍.

It’s called Coarctation of the Aorta (COA). We will be delivering in Fort Worth at Cooks Children’s Hospital. We’ve been told it is a fixable issue once he’s born, and we’ve found it early so we’re grateful for that but we are both really in shock, worried and scared. As scared as we are, we know that God is in control and that he has a plan for us and our baby! I’ll continue to post updates as we go. Pray for Maisyn as she doesn’t fully understand the situation, and prayers for our family would be greatly appreciated right now as we navigate this journey.

Linzi will be moving to Fort Worth on February 21st to get settled in and then the dr. will schedule her induction. Henry will have surgery to fix his heart soon after birth and they will need to stay in Fort Worth until he is healthy enough to come home from the hospital! As you can imagine, this will be a huge financial strain on them and we'd like to help alleviate some of that strain and worry! Please donate if you feel led to!
