Austin Morgan Needs some LOVE!

Donation protected
I'll keep this short.

First, The Good News!

Austin Morgan (Son of Justin and Stephanie and brother to Shayley and Brock) is going to be OK. In fact, he is going to be better than OK. His cancer is a RARE one. And, thankfully it is also one that brings with it a favorable prognosis.

And we all know that Austin isn't one to settle for "surviving". He's GOING TO THRIVE! And our LOVE can help fuel him!

The doctors expect him to beat this, eventually! So let's all thank God for that! And continue to pray for daily improvement!

His recovery will not be without its challenges though. He's got months and months of treatment to undergo and will remain in the hospital for longer than he'd like to be. Teenage Cancer sucks! All Cancer Sucks. Your entire life changes overnight. Instead of driving, dating, eating whatever, arguing with your parents and exploring the world, you're cooped up in a 10 x 15 hospital room like a prison inmate.

Those that know him, know that being stuck in a 10 x 15 room for days on end is not his style! And the pain his treatments create within his body only makes his confinement all the more challenging. His days are long, boring and sometimes lonely. PLUS he is hours from home.

It's been said that EVERY situation, no matter how traumatic, is the "perfect opportunity to....."

This challenge is the perfect opportunity for us to show Austin (and the rest of the Morgan crew) how much they are loved.

Loving acts of service, gifts, messages, and prayers are already forthcoming and we hope that the generous donations made on this page will allow the Morgans to weather this storm with just a little more ease. How awesome would it be to add just a little bit more light to their world?

Funds from this page will be used in whatever way optimizes Austin's recovery. Video games to pass the time, hotel rooms and transportation costs to import family and friends, medical expenses that aren't covered by insurance as well as non-medical expenditures that come when a family of 5 is uprooted from their community and forced to live hours from home.

The truth is, it's not really about the money. It's about creating an avenue through which we can all show Austin (and the whole Morgan crew) our LOVE...and an opportunity for him to practice receiving that LOVE at a time when he needs it more than ever!

All that said, Please consider giving what you can!

And also PLEASE send your thoughts, love and prayers to them during this tumultuous time! Pops (Austin's Grandpa and Justin's Dad) died 4 years ago this week. And Austin's Uncle Jordan (Steph's only brother) passed away a few years ago at the young age of 29 from this same, nasty disease. This battle isn't easy and its VERY real for the Morgans. They need to feel, and will benefit immensely from your love! Gifts of any amount will accomplish our primary goal here, which is to SEND LOVE directly to Austin and the rest of the Morgan crew!

Here's a bit more information about how Austin's Journey started as shared by his dad, Justin. And along with it comes some vulnerable AND hugely insightful thoughts about how we walk through this world!

CHRISTMAS NIGHT:
“Well Christmas was fun, damn kids are spoiled, I’m tired, let’s get to bed babe”. Oh and “I wonder what Austin ate and why is he throwing up. Kids and candy, must be ‍♂️
MONDAY:
Well, last night sucked, Austin kept us awake, Steph awake all night, I’m sleeping in. Nothing going on today.
TUESDAY:
Good heck. Austin threw up 30 times today. If it doesn’t stop, I’m taking him to the Dr.” “We have our winter vacation coming up, it better not be ruined with the flew.”
-Tuesday Night:
insta-care visit and told… nasty stomach bug. We get a nausea shot and sent home.
WEDNESDAY:
Shay wakes up with a headache, Austin does ok through the night (he hasn’t eaten for 3 days).
I’m freaking out my vacation might get ruined by the flew…
Well… “Time to pack up for vacation anyways, we are doing this, I have plans”.
Austin is still, very much, not better, but let’s get in the car and go anyways, soon. Can’t be late for vacation! (I’m embarrassed typing this).
We ship 7 days of clothing and food and toys in the snowmobile trailer for a 10hr drive to Island Park Idaho with our friends. (expecting to be a few hours behind everyone, or at worst we are coming the next day, a “stomach bug” can’t last that long, right.
WEDNESDAY- THURSDAY:
8pm Austin looses his sight, and starts talking jibber’ish, he scares the crap out of us, we rush him to the ER, tests, needles, intubate, and LIFE-FLIGHT 4hrs north to Salt Lake Children’s hospital .
THURSDAY:
100,000,000 things happen, people, and tests are everywhere… and a cancer diagnosis with Leukemia at 90% is delivered to Steph and I.
FRIDAY:
Tests, IV’s all over , intubate tub FINALLY come out of his throat , still in ICU but a plan starts to come together and 100%… CANCER!!!
SATURDAY:
Life starts coming back into Austin, he eats and keeps food down for the first time in 6 days. We move OUT of ICU and get “a room”.
Yes… I’m missing more than a few details… BUT details confuse the point here…

THIS moment has changed us.
The last 7 days have changed us.
SOOOO much can change in 7 days… hold them close… love your family… love your friends.

This moment is the most important.
2023 is going to be filled with uncertainty (cancer, economics, real estate, governments failing, death, new life, canceled flights, vacations, the flew, you name it)…

But one thing is CERTAIN, we have RIGHT NOW!

And so with that, I ask, What Can you do RIGHT NOW to increase the amount of LOVE in the world?

Is it $5, $25, $100, $1000....or more? If you feel called to, please donate what you can!

Again, It's about creating an avenue through which we can all show Austin (and the whole Morgan crew) our LOVE
