For as long as I can remember, music has been a part of my life. As a young child, I remember running around the house using a television remote control as a microphone in an effort to win over the tough crowd that were my older brothers. They are still a tough crowd but I think now they realize that was the beginning of a long musical journey. You see, it’s always been my dream to write and record my own music but quite honestly, I was too scared to put myself out there and afraid of what others might say about something so personal. This past year has brought on a lot of life changes and challenges and so it’s now that I feel like I have something to say and would be honored if you partner with me to help this dream come true!

My motivations here are simple. I want to step out and challenge myself to do something that has always scared me. It’s my hope that the process is rewarding and that the songs speak to others. But I have no other expectations. There was a time in my life that I wanted my band to “make it” so I could be in the spotlight. Now it’s simply about the music and the journey and if there is more, I’ll cross that bridge if, or when, it comes.

The plan is to record and release a 5 song EP in Knoxville, TN at Lakeside Studios with award-winning producer Travis Wyrick. I met Travis a few years back when I had the opportunity to work with him on another project. He’s kind of legit and will definitely challenge both  me and the songs so it’s sure to be an authentic record which is by the way, the biggest desire for this effort. I want it to sound raw and real; no over-production or manipulating the artistry.

The commitment I am making to you is that whether you entrust $1 or $10,000, I will be forever grateful and honored. It’s quite humbling to ask for financial support to see my dream realized knowing that I can’t provide anything in return of equal value (it’s a given that you will receive a copy of the EP). What I do promise is that every dollar received will be directly applied to recording and associated costs. This project will require 2 full weeks of studio time ($4,000/wk), travel and lodging, mastering, and packaging.
