Austin’s RSV Recovery
Donation protected
Saturday evening, Katherine and Sean noticed Austin, their 26 day old baby boy was acting out of the ordinary. He was fussier than normal, and could not get to sleep. He had a minor cough, which by Monday evening turned into what they both thought was a chest cold, or possibly pneumonia. Tuesday morning Katherine called the pediatrician, and took the earliest appointment available, within 10 minutes of being at the doctor, they loaded Austin and herself into an ambulance and headed to Toledo hospital. Austin’s oxygen levels were low, and declining. With every breath he was pulling his chest in. In the ER they decided to admit him for observation, and he would be staying overnight. He was diagnosed with RSV. Very early Wednesday morning Austin began to decline very quickly, so the hospital decided to move him into the PICU for higher powered oxygen, eventually ending in a non invasive vent. Austin is fighting the best he can right now, and I’d doing his best to make positive progress with his breathing. Katherine and Sean are taking a very large hit financially, with work being missed, and having to drive back and forth from One side of town to the other every day. They are doing everything they can to be with their baby boy as he fights. This is campaign is to help in any way possible with costs associated with Austin’s hospital stay. Food, Gas, transportation, and largest of all Medical bills. If if you cannot donate please leave a word of positive encouragement for the family as they are struggling.
