Australia trip for Laura McSweeney

Larry McSweeney was a loving father, and adored his children, Tom and Laura.  His sense of humor brightened everyone who knew him.  Larry was the first born son of Joseph and Gert McSweeney.  He had two older sisters and three younger brothers. Life was never dull in the McSweeney household! Sports were always being played or watched on the TV. Larry was a great baseball catcher, loved swimming, hockey and his beloved New England sports teams. (Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics) Larry grew up in Needham Massachusetts, went to Utica College in Utica New York and served in the United States Navy. While in the Navy, he met his first wife, Myrene Winter, in Melbourne Australia. They were married and Laura and Tom soon followed. It did not take long for the Australian family to embrace Larry. He felt as if they were truly family. Sadly, Myrene passed away in 2004 from breast cancer and Larry relocated to Boston to be closer to his family. Larry’s focus was the children for many years. Eventually, he met Tina, the love of his life, and they were married in 2014. At the time of his passing he was a service field engineer for Agilent Technologies. A job he truly loved. We will miss him dearly.

Laura would like to fly to Melbourne and scatter Larry's ashes there near her mother, Myrene.  This money will be used to buy her a plane ticket to Melbourne, so she can honor her dad in this way.
