Australian Equestrian Team - Virtus Global Games
Donation protected
This is the first time ever that the Virtus Global Games being held this year in France on 4th – 10th June has included equestrian.
The Virtus Global Games is for intellectually impaired athletes.
Against huge adversity, Australia has responded and named three Australian riders, Andrew Driffield from Scone, New South Wales, Sarah Sherwood from Tallebudgera Valley, Queensland and Sui Watts from Mitchell Island, Mid North Coast, New South Wales to travel to France and represent Australia in this first time ever opportunity.
This Virtus Global Games fundraiser/GoFundMe page is for everyone equestrian, is for everyone to become more aware of our Australian intellectually impaired athletes, is for all of us as a community to step up and support the first three Australian riders about to make history and represent us in France at the Virtus Global Games.
To get the three riders to France and back accompanied by one parent, to get a coach and an assistant coach and a Chef d’Equipe to France and back, to get those not staying in the athletes village accommodated, to hire guest competition horses, to hire transport, to provide meal vouchers, to provide small Australian gifts for hosts and sponsors, we need to raise $70,000.00.
$70,000.00 is the goal.
We are fundraising through this GoFundMe page and we are fundraising through the Virtus Global Games online auction of an anticipated 200 product donations which range from top of the range Olympic discipline saddles with a value of $5,000.00 to $6,000.00 each, to cases of wine from vineyards, to Bed and Breakfast and holiday opportunities all around Australia, to state of the art sunglasses, to dinners at restaurants with Chef’s hats to their credit, to riding lessons donated by Olympians etc etc etc.
This is Australia at its best supporting the Australian team heading to France for the Virtus Global Games.
Please get behind us and support this team.
