Author visit for Intensive Reading Classes

Please help bring author Randi Pink to Atlantic Community High School to speak with 195 10th graders about her historical novel Angel of Greenwood. These students will get an experience like no other. They will read the standards-aligned book with relevant coursework and then will have a half day celebration with author Randi Pink where they will get to hear her speak, ask her questions, and a select few will be able to get their books signed. Donations go towards the cost of hosting the author.

Author visits are special in that they help empower minds through fostering a love of reading and supporting increased literacy skills. According to the Washington Post, 45% of Americans don't even read one book a year. With your donation, we can ensure 195 students are at least in the 46 percentile of readers. We want to have our intensive reading students fall in love with reading and connect to the creative process that goes into making a book special for readers. Your donation can help make a significant difference in creating opportunities for personal growth in our young readers.
