Autistic child's household repairs.

We are Andrew and Ali Ross. We are parents to a wonderful 13 year old Autistic Child. Unfortunately, he has developed severe anger issues and has taken to not only hurting us but himself and the house. During his meltdowns, he will continually destroy his surroundings and any attempts to interfere will result in further violence. With that said, we are reaching out to family, friends and anyone else who wants to help.

Break down:

-Doors. 7 have been destroyed and need replacing with solid core doors. These are our only way to get away from him when he melts down in order to stay safe. The doors in the house were hollow, and he has either busted through them or has torn them off the hinges.

-Floors. We have ~1,200 sq/ft of carpet flooring that needs replaced. His stomping while angry has broken down the subflooring, which has made an unsafe 2nd floor. Some areas are only held up with carpet. Sub floor and flooring replacement required.

-Walls. ~45 sq/ft of drywall needs to be replaced. Again, he will take his anger out on the walls or will attempt to break through if needed. This is the lowest priority, with the exception of the areas that are exposing wiring/plumbing.

We have received numerous quotes for the repairs, all totaling close to 18-19k. While we can do some of the labor, we want to ensure it is done correctly in order to mitigate this issue down the road as he gets bigger and stronger.
