Autumn Spire a 2022 Burning Man Sculpture

Help bring Autumn Spire to Burning Man 2022!

 

The Autumn Spire is inspired by the natural balance of organic and geometric properties in nature, a gothic-inspired steel tower will project the colors of Autumn upon nightfall to provoke nostalgic memories, of the changing of seasons and the passage of time.

The steel sculpture is 20 feet tall. It's gnarled root-like legs support a tower of gothic arches, elevated 8 feet off the ground, allowing participants to walk under the sculpture. The “lighthouse” at the top of the spire acts as a beacon, projecting a beam of warm light into the sky. This light will be connected to a wheel at the base, which participants can turn to change the direction of the light, sending a signal into the night sky.

 

This project has received partial funding from the Burning Man Honorarium, but more funds are needed, especially due to the increasing cost of materials and transportation. Here is how your contribution will be used:
