Autumns heart journey

Hannah and Caleb are a young family living in Billings Montana with a two year old little boy, Jordan. They found out they are  expecting a beautiful baby girl who is due in May!

At  Hannah’s ultrasound they noticed something wrong with the heart, so she had a follow up appt at 27 weeks where  they found a rather large hole and also diagnosed baby autumn with Truncus arteriosus, a rare defect of the heart in which a single common blood vessel comes out of the heart, instead of the usual two vessels (the main pulmonary artery and aorta). Unfortunately Baby Autumn will need to be delivered in Denver to have heart surgery soon after she is born.

     Usually, surgery to repair this defect involves the following steps:
Close the hole between the bottom chambers of the heart (ventricular septal defect) usually with a patch.
Use the original single blood vessel to create a new aorta to carry oxygen-rich blood from the left ventricle out to the body.
Use an artificial tube (conduit) with an artificial valve to connect the right ventricle to the arteries going to the lungs in order to carry oxygen-poor blood to the lungs.

     Her mother, Hannah will need to be in Denver for anywhere from 1-3 months to prepare for the birth and then for autumns surgery and recovery. Please help us raise funds to support Caleb and Hannah  during this challenging time and help with the bills that come with the surgery and to also help with the bills that will be piling up at home well they temporarily relocate to Denver.

      Hannah and Caleb are truly an amazing        couple who would do anything to help everyone they meet, but now they need some help so Caleb can be with Hannah and also be able to take time off work to help take care of their two year old son jordan.
