My brother's keeper

I’m two weeks into my fractured C6 and separated shoulder situation, though I do feel lucky because 70% of the people with my injury end up paralyzed. I’m part of the lucky 30%. That said, I’m just trying to reach a realistic goal of $15,000 which I figure can carry me through the next two months in terms of electricity, food, heating, water, rent, movings costs, daily expenses, etc until I can get cleared to go back to marine construction. I do have insurance, but I still have medical bills. I don’t want to leave the burden of these bills on my soon to be ex-wife. So as an extra incentive, my band and I will come and play a private show when I’m cleared to play within the next year- spring, summer, or fall- for anyone who donates $500 or more. I’m trying to help the best I can in a bad situation. I have had to cancel gigs of late because I can’t play guitar and my other guys were busy for the holidays. If you know me, you know that I have never canceled a music performance unless it was serious. This has been a very intense and trying time for me. I guess all press is good press, even the social media trolls that are coming after me. If you have ever spent time with me, you know who I am- I’d give you the shirt off my back.
