Help cover Gatsby's vet bills

Donation protected
I really hate having to ask for help but I'm out of options. A couple weeks ago, my 6yo quaker parrot, Gatsby, began plucking out all of the feathers under his right wing and on his right leg. After vet visits to several different vets and a specialist, we found out that he managed to ingest a small piece of metal and was plucking where it got stuck in his digestive system. Between x-rays, medication, and observation costs, this put me $1700 in the hole, not even factoring in travel costs. After getting his cone off last week (and having several really great days), Gatsby once again began plucking out his leg feathers yesterday evening. The vet has advised me to bring him in as soon as possible but I have absolutely no money left and have exhausted every channel.
Gatsby is more than just a pet or emotional support animal to me. He is my best friend and a beloved part of my family. We lost our two dogs this past summer, so he's all I have left and I genuinely do not think I'll make it if he doesn’t. I'm completely lost on what to do. I love this bird more than anything. I would sell my own body parts if I knew how to just to keep him alive. Please, if you have it in you to help, it would mean the world to me.
