Lifeline car repair

I would never do this unless it was my last option.

My lifeline is shot. My car's transmission is completely ruined and I only have about half the money to fix it. 

I've exhausted all my other options and didn't want to resort to this. But I have no other choice.
My car is my only means of getting around effeciently. The car was a gift after my great grandmother's passing and it's all I have left to remember her.

There aren't enough words to say how much being able to fix it would mean to me or how thankful I am for anyone to help me out.
