Avant Garde (Short Film)

Hello! My name is Lindsay Williams, and I am an emerging black filmmaker from Brooklyn. Currently, I am attending grad school at Columbia University, receiving my MFA in Film, and I'm seeking out the funds to make this film possible. I'm shooting in a few weeks, and I planned to have my funds already, but this did not happen due to unforeseen circumstances.

 

My film is a social commentary on the idea of creative genius; a young man is lured into his untimely demise all for the sake of performance art. Absurdist ideas like this interest me the most, and I'd like to continue doing what I love on my journey as a filmmaker.

 

These funds for the film will be used for food for my cast and crew, transportation, and COVID safety materials to ensure the health and safety of everyone on set.
