Ava’s new liver

This is my beautiful granddaughter Ava. She and her twin sister were born 7 weeks early on November 3, 2020. They both spent their first month in the NICU at Denver children's hospital. Ava's twin sister, Islla, has been thriving and healthy since her release from the NICU in early December 2020. Ava has continued to have health issues and ultimately was diagnosed with a liver disease, Biliary Atresia. Ava has been hospitalized 6 times in her short 4 months of life and had a massive surgery in hopes of repairing her liver. Unfortunately, the surgery was unsuccessful. So here we are, 4 months later, countless trips to Denver, over 2 months in hotels and now we learned Ava needs a liver transplant in the next few months. As a family we have spent thousands supporting this unwelcome journey and still have several months to go. The medical bills, travel expenses and emotions have been endless. After much discussion with my son, Tyler, and my daughter in law Ashley, I am reaching out to our community asking for help. This journey is painful and expensive but we will stop at nothing to make sure Ava is given the best quality of life. She is so beautiful and precious and already loved more than life. We do not want to be a burden to anyone so please do not donate if you are struggling yourself. All prayers are welcome and we are standing firm in our faith that God will heal our sweet Ava.
