West Family Support

Shane West was first and foremost a family man. He adored Ann Marie and never missed an opportunity to tell his kids how much he loved them.

“Big” Shane was also a well-read history buff and proud United States Marine. He had a sidesplitting sense of humor, was a fiercely loyal friend, and was a caring son, brother and uncle. He may have been one of the CAPS biggest fans but, most importantly, Big Shane was his kids’ absolute biggest fan.

Literally nothing could keep him from coming out to support his family - until cancer ultimately did.

Big Shane had a big smile, a big laugh, and was always the loudest voice on the sidelines for his kids and their teammates. He never did get around to writing apology notes to any refs… but his wishes were clear when it came to his kids’ futures.

Let’s amplify Big Shane’s cheering section for his wonderful children and amazing wife. Donations to this campaign will go toward Bella and Shane’s educational support, college funds, and participation in sports.

Big Shane wanted his kids to take every shot; he encouraged unselfish play; and he understood the unparalleled importance of education.
