Hello, my name is May, a 26-year-old Palestinian from Gaza, currently residing in Canada after seeking asylum in October 2023 due to the ongoing war. Today, I come to you with a heavy heart and an urgent plea for help.

My family is still trapped in the war-torn region of Gaza, facing unimaginable challenges. Our home was directly hit during the attack, leaving my brother severely injured, with his leg at risk of amputation. The dire situation in Gaza has left us with limited access to medical facilities and insufficient equipment to address his urgent needs.

With no hospitals capable of providing the necessary care in Gaza, my brother's only hope lies in traveling to a safer country for immediate medical attention. I aspire to bring my family to Canada, where I have sought asylum, to ensure they receive the care they desperately need.

The destruction of our home has left us not only without shelter but also struggling to meet the basic necessities of life. We have lost our only place to live, and our financial situation has become precarious, making it impossible for us to cover essential living expenses.

Despite the adversities they face, my siblings are young, ambitious individuals with language skills and higher education. Their dreams are simple – to lead stable lives, secure employment, and enjoy the normalcy that many often take for granted.

I humbly reach out to you to join hands in supporting our cause. Your generous contributions will not only help evacuate my family to safety but also provide my brother with the critical medical care that can save his leg and prevent any lasting damage.

Your contribution will specifically support the transportation costs of individuals traveling from the Gaza Strip to Egypt through the Egyptian-Gaza Rafah passage. I was informed that the evacuation fee falls within the range of $8,000 to $10,000 per person, excluding processing and transport fees. Consequently, we need to secure a total of $60,000, as detailed in the following breakdown: an evacuation fee of $10,000 per person at the Egyptian border, coupled with a processing fee of $2,000 per person, an additional $2,000 for transportation, and a 2.9% commission fee. These figures are approximations derived from extensive research conducted in both Gaza and Egypt. Any funds raised beyond the specified total will be utilized to support the family as they navigate their new status as refugees in Egypt.

This assistance is crucial as the Canadian government is implementing a public policy to offer temporary refuge for Palestinian nationals directly affected by the crisis in the Gaza Strip.

مرحبًا، اسمي مي، فلسطينية عمري 26 عامًا، من غزة، حاليا أقيم في كندا بعد طلبي اللجوء في أكتوبر 2023 بسبب الحرب المستمرة حتى اليوم، أتوجه إليكم يا أحرار العالم بقلب ثقيل ونداء عاجل للمساعدة. عائلتي ما زالت محاصرة في غزة المنكوبة، تواجه تحديات لا يمكن تصورها حيث تعرض منزلنا للقصف المباشرة خلال العدوان مما تسبب في إصابة شقيقي ووضع ساقه تحت خطر البتر. لم يتلقى أخي العلاج اللازم بسبب محدودية المرافق الطبية ونقص في التجهيزات الكافية للتعامل مع احتياجاته العاجلة.

بسبب عدم وجود مستشفيات قادرة على تقديم الرعاية اللازمة في غزة، يكمن أمل أخي في السفر إلى بلد آمن لتلقي الرعاية الطارئة الطبية. ولذلك فأنا أتطلع إلى جلب عائلتي إلى كندا، حيث طلبت اللجوء، لضمان تلقيهم الرعاية التي يحتاجون إليها بشدة

وحيث أن منزلنا قد دُمّر، فأننا نجد أنفسنا بلا مأوى، ونواجه صعوبات في تلبية الاحتياجات الأساسية للحياة. لقد فقدنا مكاننا الوحيد للعيش، وأصبح وضعنا المادي حرج مما جعل تغطية نفقات العيش الأساسية مستحيلاً.

أتوجه إليكم بتواضع لتقديم يد العون والدعم لقضيتنا. ستساعد تبرعاتكم الكريمة بنقل عائلتي إلى مكانٍ آمن لتوفير الرعاية الطبية الحرجة التي يمكن أن تنقذ ساق أخي من البتر وتمنع أي ضرر دائم.

يساعد تبرعكم بشكل خاص في تغطية تكاليف النقل من قطاع غزة إلى مصر عبر معبر رفح الفلسطيني-المصري، حيث يتطلب دفع ما يقارب 10000 دولار أمريكي للفرد الواحد لعبور معبر رفح المصري إلى القاهرة، ستستخدم الأموال لتغطية احتياجاتهم الطبية والإقامة، وكذلك لتغطية تكاليف طلبات الهجرة إلى كندا وتذاكر السفر من القاهرة إلى كندا.
