Avery Gilbert's Memorial

Hello,

My name is Joshua Real, and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of the loved ones impacted by Avery Tayvion Gilbert’s sudden death. Avery was my brother and showed me what strength and perseverance genuinely mean in this life. He encouraged everyone to harbor strength, courage, and integrity and, most importantly, to show up for themselves every day – no matter the circumstance.

Our beloved Avery passed away on August 10th, 2022, due to pre-existing medical condition triggered by an allergen. He was an incoming freshman at Trinity International University and was set to play football representing #87 in the upcoming fall season. He graduated from Grayslake North High School in May this year and was known for his "infectious positive energy, generosity, and joy”.

He leaves his family and bonus brothers and sisters with one clear message:

“Never Give Up, Never Surrender.”

Avery always restated this quote, and anyone who loved Avery should know that he is rooting for them in their pursuits of happiness despite his passing. He will always watch over us, ensuring we reach our goals.
