Avery Joseph Post-Kidney Transplant Complications

For more than two decades, Mr. Avery Joseph, beloved Music Educator, has inspired, mentored , motivated, impacted and empowered hundreds of students to reach and achieve their highest aspirations, goals and dreams. Affectionately called “Mr. J”, he has been a father figure to many of his students. The numerous stories of success and inspiration bear witness to his commitment, not only to his students but, to family, friends and colleagues alike.

For the past several months, however, our beloved Avery/Mr. Joseph/Mr. J has had some serious health challenges following a successful kidney transplant in March of this year. He was admitted to the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital and then to a Rehabilitation Center in Hyattsville, MD.

Needless to say, this has left him with mounting medical bills and unable to work at the present time.

Please join us in supporting him as he has given to many of us and supported the Washington, DC community in so many ways throughout the years.
