Avery's FIGHT against Stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma!

Hi my name is Buffy (Joanne), and I'm asking for support for my nephew Avery Dixon! We were all prepared and ready for his graduation and then to send him on his next journey! He was supposed to start college in the fall as he was awarded an academic and football scholarship. Instead, we received this devastating news that will not stop him but definitely cause a bump in the road. I'm asking for support for my sister and Avery to get them through this rough time. Their thoughts and focus need to be on his health and getting him cured.

Avery, a current senior at Wauwatosa West High School, was diagnosed in mid-April with Stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma, which is cancer that attacks his immune system. Avery started his first cycle of chemotherapy at Children's Hospital on May 3. However, Avery has a positive attitude, and a drive and fight, which I'm sure will help him throughout this journey.

One can imagine the number of medical bills, medicines not covered by her insurance, and the many years of follow-up care he will need, which is the stress they don't need to focus on. There are also many other costs that one doesn't think or plan for, as you would never believe this would happen to your child.

I never thought I would set up a Go Fund Me but never thought I would get the news that my nephew would be diagnosed with Stage 3 Cancer. I put this together with the mounting medical bills, travel, and other expenses that go with this illness. I want my sister and Avery to only focus on the journey to KICK CANCER BUTT!
