Avery's Heart

Avery was born with a VSD (ventricular septal defect). She is scheduled to have open heart surgery on Monday, July 24th at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. The day of her surgery she will be exactly 11 months old. Her surgeon will be patching one hole & removing a ridge that they found between the top & bottom chambers of her heart. I had only planned to take 2 weeks off of work for her procedure. The recovery time provided by her surgeon is 8 weeks. During the time that I will be taking off of work, I will be using FMLA, which will be unpaid time off. Any money that is raised will be used to help with expenses.
