For the last month and a half, Krew Konnect has closely monitored the spread of the Corona Virus and its impact on the aviation community.
First, we watched how this global pandemic devastated our colleagues in the Asian markets. Now, we are watching as the rapid spread of Covid-19 is crippling the European and North American aviation industries with no end in sight.
It is projected that airlines stand to lose upwards of 113 BILLION in revenue.
In the midst of these uncertain times, Krew Konnect more than ever is committed to our mission of improving the mental health and wellness of aviation professionals.
To support frontline employees, we are launching an Aviation Relief Fund. This fund will alleviate the financial pressures numerous employees are facing in light of industry-wide cutbacks.
100% of donations to this fund will go directly to aviators adversely affected by the sudden cutbacks. We encourage aviators and civilians alike, who are able, to donate to the Aviation Relief Fund. We also call on businesses that profit from the aviation community to support us in this critical time by making corporate donations.
Recipients of the funds will be selected through an application process.
Active members of all workgroups, as well as aviators who have been laid-off, are eligible to apply.
How Funds Will Be Distributed:
- Aviators will submit an application to be considered for financial assistance via www.KrewKonnect.com
- A team of aviators from 5 workgroups will review submissions and determine to whom funds will be allocated.
- Two weeks after the fundraiser is closed, checks will be mailed to those awarded funds.
We will send details on how to apply to the Aviation Relief Fund to our community of 60,000+ aviation professionals via email.
