Jamie's Healing Journey
Donation protected
Hi, we are Andrea and Morgan, huge fans of the Simply Sara cooking show on Youtube, and we would like to take this opportunity to help Sara out. The show has always been a source of comfort for us, especially during quarantine. Sara has brought us so much joy, and we'd like to pay it forward during this difficult time. Her dear husband Jamie has been suffering from multiple medical issues stemming from kidney failure and is currently intubated and on dialysis. Please consider helping Sara and Jamie by donating or sharing this. Below is a description from Sara's Facebook page on Jamie's current situation:
Update on Jamie: He’s still in the hospital in the icu and still is very sick. He was doing aliitle better, then we had a back slide with him. I don’t remember what actual day they called me, but it’s all like a big bad nightmare, since he went in the hospital. He’s been on the CRRT dialysis machine since he’s been admitted, but they weren’t pulling off no liquids ,he was running even. Let’s say it was Monday when the called I said they were going to try to use the big hemo dialysis machine instead of the crrt one, thinking it might help better, that machine take about almost a 4 hour procedure. He was doing good till the last hour on the big machine, and he’s oxygen kept dropping down into the 70’s and was not wanting to come back up they did want him to go into respiratory failure. So they had to intubate and sedate him, and keep him sedated to get his oxygen back up and out of the 70’s. It came back up and is still in the high 90’s now. Also his heart kept wanting to go into AFib. But he’s staying stable now. Jamie has such a rare infection, they never had seen nobody with one before, so they did a bone marrow biopsy and aspiration taking a piece of bone out of his pelvis. He did good with that procedure. Now remember he hasn’t been making any urine, since he been admitted. But for that past 2 days, he’s been starting to put out 5ml every hour which is a very good sign with he’s kidneys. He’s white blood is finally starting to go down some, which what we needed too. They are still running the crrt dialysis machine everyday with him, it runs 24/7. They have done other tests too just waiting for it to all come back, and the bone marrow one they said would take 5 to 10 days to get that back to know more.
Bone marrow aspiration and bone marrow biopsy can show whether your bone marrow is healthy and making normal amounts of blood cells. The Lord is hearing our prayers for him, but please continue to keep Jamie in your Prayers
