Care Packages for the Homeless

The CAAAN group is sponsoring a charitable initiative to help the homeless community with essential items this holiday season.  We have chosen to partner with the Detroit Rescue Mission to assist in these efforts.  The Detroit Rescue Mission (DRMM) is an emergency shelter that has been servicing Detroit and its surrounding metropolitan communities for over 100 years.  We want to put together care packages to help this community’s population with essential toiletries and things. This is where your help/giving efforts are needed. 

A typical care package can include items like hats, gloves, thermal socks, hygiene items, etc. Ultimately, a package like this will range between $20-25, so please take that into consideration when making your donation. The last day donations will be accepted is Friday, November 20.

Our goal is to help at least 300 people this season.  Carat will be making a substantial donation to get us started, but we are asking for your help to ultimately hit our goal.  Please see link below for our Go Fund Me account to give your donations.  Our CAAAN Team will then do the shopping, assembly, and deliver the Care packages to DRMM.
