Avoid eviction and help with bills
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Melissa; I live with my partner James, we have his kid Lucas on the weekend, and the furball is Rorsha, our one-eyed cat. We're a disabled couple, I have arthritis, and he's got multiple scolorosis; we are honest people and have never been in this situation before, so I hope you'll hear us out.
In May, my James got into a terrible work accident and sliced the tendon in his ring finger on his right hand, leaving him unable to work. Even though this type of incident is covered by workers comp, they only pay you a fraction of your earnings. They didn't start sending anything until a few weeks later, which led to us getting behind on our rent and many other bills. As James went through surgery, I kept working through UberEats and GrubHub and babysitting to make ends meet. Applying many other places along the way. James even got a better-paying job to replace his old one, but we're still short of making ends meet.
As of 07/12/2022, we were served with a 3days to pay or vacate notice and have already given everything.
We've tried reaching out to local community support programs and our friends and family first, but we need a little more to help us back on our feet. I hope you'll consider donating to our cause. Thank you so much.
