Please Support Zoe's Urgent Medical Needs

Hello everyone, my name is Michelle and I'm organizing this fundraiser for my daughter Zoe. She is going through so much with her health, and financially it's been a struggle. I wish I had the funds to help her, but I have a lot of health issues myself, so the only thing I can do is be there for her and try my best to get her the help she needs in any way that I possibly can in order to get her health back up to where it needs to be.

Zoe has been struggling with a lot of health issues since having COVID for the second time this past November, right after Halloween, and hasn't recovered fully ever since. She ended up in the ER on November 3rd, diagnosed with a respiratory infection. Then she got worse and ended up back in the ER on the night of November 15th and was diagnosed with COVID-19 for the second time since 2021, when the first round of COVID put her in the hospital for over 2 weeks and on oxygen at home when she did return home. It took her a long time to recover. It also took the life of her stepdad, my husband Wayne. She also ended up right back in the ER once more on December 30th when her coworkers called to inform me that she was falling to the floor, passing out at her job from not being able to breathe, and is now currently on inhalers and oxygen again once more.

She is in desperate need of a lot of testing, doctor’s appointments, and medications at this time. She has health insurance, but the copays are insanely high for everything she needs done in order to figure out what is going on with her health and to get her back to where she needs to be. She informed me that many of her friends have reached out to her saying she should make a GoFundMe, but she would never do that for herself, so that's why I'm asking everyone for her. I don't want to see her suffer and cry anymore. It's breaking my heart. I wish healthcare could be more affordable. It's such a hard thing to go through needing help and not being able to afford the copays. She has a cardiology specialist she needs to see regularly at the moment and a primary care doctor. The PCP copay is $175!!! They want $400 alone for a copay for her to get a chest CT scan that she desperately needs! Even one of the inhalers called Combivent Respimat that she was on for a long time when she was hospitalized for COVID and is supposed to be on again costs almost $700 out of pocket that her insurance wouldn't even cover for her, even if a doctor tried to pre-authorize it for her!!!

It's so sad how the healthcare system treats us when we pay so much to get the help we need but don't want to help when it's needed in times like this...

All of this is what we believe to be long-haul COVID and possibly autoimmune disease, which is what she seems to be showing signs of. I have autoimmune disease myself, and it is very prevalent in my family. If the doctors are able to detect any underlying condition early then they can get it under control so my beautiful daughter can have a very long and happy life. This is truly what any parent wants for their child.

I just pray that everyone can find it in their hearts to send what you can to help my daughter get the help she needs.
