Sudden Loss of Son
Donation protected
My sister Sheri had the worst call of her life the morning of November 1st, just a short time ago. Her son's best friend called to say that her son Sam wasn't waking up. They had gone out for Halloween the night before and he had slept over at his friend's house.
By the time Sheri drove over 45 minutes, in the snow, to get to his best friend's house where the paramedics had been called, her young first born 26-year old son Sam was gone. :-(
How can this be???
Sheri's life has changed forever. And still no answers as to what happened. She constantly questions why over and over again!
She has two other kids to take care of - a 16 year old and 14 year old - who are missing their older brother just terribly. They can't focus or concentrate at school and don't want to do anything.
My sister had to pay for everything related to her son's unexpected funeral expenses, and he didn't even leave a beneficiary on his life insurance with his employer. It's going to take some time with all the required paperwork for any type of account transfer to happen for that or the 401k he had, also with no beneficiary named.
And in the meantime, Sheri has the biggest hole in her heart and no idea what happened to her baby. :-(
You should never, ever outlive your children. My heart just breaks for her and for my niece and nephew.
Won't you please consider a donation to help recoup some of these unexpected expenses that will help a small part of a broken heart?
Food still has to be put on the table and lots of loose ends waiting to be tied in this tragic loss.
Thank you so much for your kindness and for anything you or others you know can do to help and for support.
