Final expenses for Janice

Hello there, I’m September McCrady and I’m helping to raise funds for my dear friend Janice Covington.

Janice is currently in the hospital, she is on a ventilator and suffering organ failure. I spoke with her wife today. The hospital lost the DNR, and she plans to shut off the ventilator on Saturday. Rita is selling things, scrambling to try and pay for a burial and whatever other expenses will be incurred when Janice passes.

Janice is a wonderful soul, who has worked tirelessly for her country and her community. She served in the military many moons ago, and served in many political positions over the years. She’s been an amazing advocate for LGBTQ folks, including being elected and serving as the first Trans delegate from North Carolina in 2012!

She could light up a room with her smile, and fight like hell for justice when she saw a need. She shared her interesting stories with me over the years of a life well lived, and I cherish those and am so grateful to have her as a friend.

Janice deserves to be honored, and to Rest In Peace with dignity.
