Bring Lauren Home

Dear Friends, Family and Community,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts and a plea for help. Lauren Rauseo, who is a Junior at Stonehill College, is currently battling a severe health crisis that has left her fighting for her life. Lauren was involved in a horrific bicycle accident while in Spain and suffered severe injuries to her head and body. She is in a medically induced coma and in critical (but stable) condition and has a long road of recovery ahead of her. Due to the severity of her current condition, she is unable to be transferred to another hospital that can provide more specialized care. We are hopeful that Lauren’s condition will improve to allow her to be med flight to a hospital back home in Boston, closer to friends and family.

As she fights for her life, her parents are by her side, providing love, support and strength during this incredibly difficult time. However, alongside the emotional toll, they are facing significant financial burdens.

The costs associated with Lauren’s medical care, including the intention to med flight her from Spain to Boston are staggering. Additionally, her parents are enduring expenses for accommodations near the hospital, meals and other incidentals that are associated with being away from home.

We are reaching out to our community for support during this challenging time. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a difference in Lauren’s fight for survival. Your generosity will help alleviate the financial burden on her family, allowing them to focus on what truly matters.

I would also like to share that Lauren’s grandmother is not aware of the full extent of Lauren’s injuries. The family is very concerned that sharing this information with Lauren’s grandmother might be devastating. The family has requested any communication with Lauren’s grandmother not go into detail regarding Lauren’s injuries.
