Rachel

Hello,My name is David. On February 1, 2023 I called my 30 year old daughter Rachel to see how she was doing and she said she had just fallen. We went to the clinic and was referred to the ER (after the nurse evaluated her and determined her blood pressure was dangerously low and she was very jaundiced) and hospitalized locally for over 2 weeks with a hospice referral at one point before transferring to the transplant center 175 miles away where she has been for 2 more weeks at this point (not clear if her liver is going to recover or if she will need a liver transplant ). She was a day or so away from needing dialysis but it looks like her kidneys are going to be okay. I’ve been driving down and back from Knoxville to Nashville as often as I can to be at her bedside and avoid paying for overnight lodging. I am retired after 45 years in healthcare but until this did work occasionally (as per social security rules). Rachel is going to have a lot of medical bills and I will use these funds for that as well as gas money and to make up for missed work opportunities.

The money would go a long way for me to continue what I’ve been doing to support Rachel.
