Eugene O'Neill, Tennessee Williams, Arthur Miller, Neil Simon-- all great American playwrights. Let's add another name to that list. My name is Vivian Brown, and I have been involved in theatre since I was six years old.
From classes to camps to performances to jobs to writing new drafts of plays, my interests in theatre have come full circle, and finally settled on playwriting, the basis for every smidgen of entertainment that you and I consume, be it theatre, television, movies, or even commercials. All stories come from writing. I spent months working on my application to the Dramatic Writing Summer Program at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, and when I received my acceptance letter for the exclusive summer program, I was ecstatic-- until I found out that NYU had no financial aid to give me. My parents raised me to conquer the impossible, and after my father's passing in 2013, I am still determined to do so.
Please, from the bottom of my heart, help me to reach $12,000 before March 21-- a difficult goal, but never impossible.
