Our grandfather is a victim of elder abuse. He is 77 years old and 90% blind. Because of his disability, he had in-home support services who were in charge of his care, as well as his finances. The in-home providers were in charge of paying all of his bills with the money that he received from his military retirement and ssi income. We have just found out that his bills have not been paid in about a year and all of his money was drained from his account from the caretakers. Due to the bills not being paid on time, we have just found out that his home has been in foreclosure and already has an auction date. His mortgage is past due by nearly $25,000. His gas and electric bill has an overdue balance of $1,300. His water is past due by $1,200. Multiple credit cards have been opened in his name and have sunk his credit score to almost 400. His wife, our grandmother, was laid to rest this week. All of this information became knowledgeable to us when the life insurance, that our grandfather thought to be paying for years, had no pay out due to a lapse because of non-payment. We are raising money in hopes to save the house that we all grew up in. We have requested a reinstatement of his mortgage loan and were told that amount will exceed $20,000. We were informed by the police that this is a civil matter and they will not be taking any action against the caretakers. We need to raise $25,000 to save our grandparents home, as well as save our grandfather from any further heartache.

This Go Fund Me was started by Alvin Fulcher's granddaughter, Adrienne Mahan. All funds will either be directly deposited into Alvin Fulchers bank account, or a secure bank account set up by Adrienne to insure safety of all funds. When all funds are raised and in a secure bank account, a cashiers check will be sent in full to Alvin Fulchers mortgage company to stop the auction of his home.
