Help me bring my Dad back home
Donation protected
My father, Emilio Gonzales, passed away on August 24th, 2024, in Vallejo, California, due to a heart attack. It was sudden and unexpected, and unfortunately, this news didn't find its way to me until October 4th. As this was very out of the blue, I unfortunately don't have the funds to cover all his end-of-life costs. So I'm asking for help to cover his cremation costs and to bring his remains back here to Idaho.
I met my dad for the first time when I was 19 in college; he and I continued an on-and-off relationship for a while as we both went through the trials of our lives, but continued to grow closer as time went on. Though I did not know him through much of my childhood, the man that I met that day in Moscow, Idaho, was one that was full of love and life. He had a kind heart and truly cared for everyone around him and was a huge advocate and support system for others in the Lewiston area that were struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. There wasn't a person I met in that town that didn't have something good to say about him. As I do, Emilio loved animals with all his heart; he absolutely adored his little weenie dog named Angel, who unfortunately passed away from old age in 2021. He was the kind of man who, though he didn't have much, would give you the shirt off his back if it meant you stayed warm for the night. He was full of laughter and loved to see others smile. The time I did have with him, there was never a dull moment. Emilio was a man that fully lived by the ideals of "I don't want anyone to suffer like I did." He had big dreams and was one of the best at making you believe in his visions for the future. God gained another angel with him.
Death is always unexpected, and you never know when you're going to have those final days with your loved ones. I truly do appreciate any help towards being able to take care of his end-of-life costs, and to bring him home to me.
