I am "Grandpa" to my beautiful granddau

ghter Renee Field. Renee was in a bicycle accident on Thursday, Oct 3, 2024. She suffered severe spinal injuries and is currently in ECMC Trauma Unit, Buffalo. At the time of the incident, Renee showed total paralysis. They have operated on her neck and we see some improvement. She is struggling with breathing and has a difficult time communicating. Right now, she is trying to survive her injuries and keep her oxygen levels up.

This accident will incur substantial expenses that she will need help with. We're obviously hoping that her body can survive the initial trauma (grace period) and eventually come home.

We, her family, thank you and truly appreciate any donation as well as prayers at this difficult time.

Update; Renee is out of the trauma unit and is breathing on her own, she can move her arms but not her hands yet. She has wiggled her toes but has no feeling in her legs yet, we are thanking Yahweh for her being with us and hopeful for her continued recovery. Thanks to everyone. Dennis and Sheila.

Update; 10/22/24

Renee has moved to the acute rehab unit is going through the paces of seeing what movement and feelings she has in her hands and legs. Afterwards she is drained and must rest and try to stay worm. She's eating and breathing much better her spirits are high even though its been a hard road. She's making small steps and this is encouraging.

. Update: Renee is still in acute rehab at ECMC making small improvements, still working on sitting upright by herself, gaining strength in her arms and getting some feeling in her legs and feet. She's keeping her spirits up even though its been a hard road.

A big thanks to the staff for helping her through this. Thanks to all for your help, our love for Renee only grows as she is determined to get back home.
