In Loving Memory of Axel Aguilar

Dear friends and community,

On Sunday, March 24, after an unexpected vehicle accident, the Aguilar family lost their youngest and beloved son and brother, Axel Aguilar. At only 20 years old, Axel has been taken from our community too soon. A graduate of Plainfield East High School and Universal Technical Institute, Axel was a beacon of hope, the reflection of his parents' (Maggie and Erik) dreams and hard work, and the promise for a full and happy life. Axel was also a community leader, a nephew, cousin and a friend to many who loved him. In this time of unexpected and devastating grief, we can only rely on the power of community to bring support, peace and healing to this beautiful family. In the happy times like in the challenging times, it truly takes a village, so we ask for your support, big or small, to help cover the unplanned memorial and funeral expenses. Thank you.

El domingo 24 de Marzo, a raíz de un accidente automovilístico, la familia Aguilar perdió de manera inesperada a su amado hijo menor y hermano, Axel Aguilar. Con solo 20 de años de edad, Axel se ha ido demasiado pronto. Axel se graduó de la preparatoria Plainfield East y recientemente del Instituto Técnico Universal y tenía toda su vida por delante. Su vida es ahora un símbolo de los sueños forjados y arduo trabajo de sus padres Maggie y Erik y del amor de sus hermanos Erik y Jair. Axel era también un líder comunitario, amigo, sobrino y primo de muchos que lo querían y quieren. En estos momentos de luto para la familia Aguilar y familia extendida, solo podemos contar con el poder y al apoyo de una comunidad.
