Our lease is up at the end of the year and we need to take the next steps to grow our community, offer more classes, add equipment, and increase space for team training.

Help AX Fitness GROW and keep moving forward while we give back to our community!


AX Fitness is not a typical fitness studio, we are a community that is growing and contributing positivity to our surrounding communities and businesses. We are also an advocate for women in sports and hope to some day open a women's specific training facility.


As the owner and primary trainer at AX Fitness, I can tell you that my doors would not be open without the help and dedication of my members and the healthy community we have built. We want to build on everything we have created and give back to other friends that have positively contributed to the Twin Cities.


I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2006. After some pretty devestating life changes and challenges, I learned that I could control most symptoms of the disease with diet and exercise. Fortunately, I grew up with an athletic background and a drive to conquer challenges. I learned how to overcome adversity and am able to channel those attributes into positive contributions  in life. Many folks are not as fortunate as I have been. Their struggle with this disease is much more difficult. As with most auto-immune diseases, MS affects each of it's victims differently.


Through this fundraiser, AX Fitness would like to give back to the MS Society. We will be participating in the Twin Cities MS Ride this spring as part of continued support for MS research. Our AX Mascot, Scout is a huge animal advocate so we would like to make a portion of our donations go to Animal Humane Society as well.


What is AX Fitness?

We believe in functional and sustainable fitness. We operate in a fundamental and organic environment where you will not find elaborate weight machines or cardio equipment. We have a traditional, athletic, grassroots approach to training. We believe that fitness is a lifestyle not just a gym. AX Fitness exists solely because of our dedicated members. Our clients believe that this program provides them with a level of fitness that nothing else can. Start-up costs were loaned or donated by our members. Our dedicated members have developed a supportive, fun, and hard-working community.


Christine Jaques developed the AX Fitness program in 2011 when she was an adult fitness trainer at Acceleration Minnesota Sports Training Center in Arden Hills, MN. In late 2013, Christine opened her own studio and moved AX Fitness to Southeast Minneapolis. Christine designed AX to offer a total body workout that increases functional strength, cardio capacity, muscular endurance, and metabolic rate. Our training utilizes MAX interval training by creatively implementing a variety of body weight and bootcamp style exercises. We have also implemented AX Power which primarily concentrates on strength training. We offer some killer Cardio Kickboxing Classes and partnered with Origin Meals USA to provide healthy meal options for our busy community.
