Beau's Surgery

Hi! My name is Jackson and my girlfriend Sarah and I adopted Beau about a month ago. We are both 23 years old and we wanted to start our little family by adopting a puppy from Anderson Human Society. Beau is 12 weeks old and when we adopted him, we thought he would be getting a healthy puppy. However, things took a turn when we had to take Beau to the VCA the first night we had him. After being prescribed antibiotics for his diarrhea, lethargy, and lack of appetite, we thought we were in the clear. Unfortunately, about a week later, we rushed Beau back to the VCA where he was diagnosed with Bordetella, Mycoplasma Pneumonia, and a Peritoneopericardial Diaphragmatic Hernia. Beau stayed at the VCA for 2 nights to treat his Bordetella and Mycoplasma Pneumonia. However, to treat the hernia, surgery is needed. Currently, the hernia is causing Beau's liver to sit on top of his heart. It is a life-threatening birth defect that can cause major issues if not treated. The VCA quoted us for a best-case and a worst-case scenario and I have both of those attached to this post. Beau is a loving and gentle puppy that has made a wonderful impact on our lives. We are so grateful for any donations we receive. Any money we receive will go directly towards Beau's surgery which will be on Thursday, 7/27. Thank you!
