Supporting Kayden After the Loss of His Father

On July 28, 2025, the lives of my best friend Kaleigh and her family changed forever when her six year old sons father, Andrew, was tragically taken from us in the Reno shooting. Andrew loved Kayden more than anything in the world. He was on his way home to pick him up when his life was cut short.

Andrew was a devoted dad who lit up every room he walked into. He worked hard to provide for Kayden and to be present for every big and small moment. His sudden passing has left an unimaginable void in Kayden’s life.

Kayden is only six years old and is now facing a future without his dad. I wanted to set up this GoFundMe to help Kaleigh, and her family make sure Kayden has the emotional support, stability, and opportunities he needs as he grows up. The funds will help with:

    •    Counseling and mental health support for Kayden as he grieves

    •    Future school and extracurricular expenses

    •    Basic needs and household stability as the family navigates this difficult time
