Miracles for Matthew
Donation protected
Our dear friends, Katie and Vince Morgan, received very difficult news this last month when their youngest son, Matthew, began having seizures in their home the week of his first birthday. After multiple days in the hospital and many tests, Matthew was diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex. In a nut shell, this genetic disease causes non-cancerous tumors to grow throughout the body and they can interfere with the normal function of those organs. Currently, Matthew has some of these tumors in the brain, causing his seizures, and in his heart. Right now, the biggest concern is the 15+ seizures Matthew is still having every day despite epilepsy medication. Along with being treated for epilepsy, Matthew will also need consistent monitoring for future tumor growth, which will include many specialist appointments, MRIs, echocardiograms, as well as therapies and behavioral/developmental monitoring.
As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly scary and challenging time for them. These are the kind of people who drop everything to serve those around them. And they do it daily. They are kind and loving and are incredible parents. We LOVE this family! The last thing we want them to worry about is finances and I know many who love them are looking for a way to help. After Matthew’s hospital stay and the many unknown medical expenses that will inevitably arise in their new future, we are hoping to help ease their financial burden. If you are able to help, please donate and share this with your friends and family. If you would like to donate via Venmo, Katie‘s account is @Katie-Morgan-1. Thank you for your prayers, love, concern, and anything you can give to aid this family in their time of need.
