AXO's for Ruby's Place
Tax deductible
Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to check out our page and support our philanthropy — Domestic Violence Awareness.
We, the Pi chapter of Alpha Chi Omega at UC Berkeley, are committed to our philanthropic work in and out of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, more than ever before, it is so incredibly crucial to support survivors of domestic violence. During this time, many things have been halted, but there is no halt in supporting these important matters. Shelter-in-place has created many unique stressors, especially for people in unsafe situations and survivors of sexual and domestic abuse. Thus, we have established this fundraiser to continue supporting Ruby’s place, a local Bay Area shelter that supports survivors through housing and a multitude of resources.
If you are willing and financially able, donations of any amounts are immensely appreciated. The onset of a global pandemic has challenged everyone’s mental and physical health, so if you are unable to donate at this time, we completely understand. However, if you cannot donate, please share this post with your family and friends, that would be incredible!
Here’s a little more information about Ruby’s Place, the local shelter that receives 100% of our proceeds:
Ruby’s Place is located in Hayward, CA, and the organization supports survivors of all genders and backgrounds. In addition to housing, the organization offers counseling, employment support, legal resources, children's services, and more resources to empower and support survivors. Their mission statement reads: “Together, we are taking a stand against human trafficking and domestic abuse by raising awareness and providing the best possible prevention and supportive services to survivors.”

Sincerely,
